Photo from Porto

Your memories from Porto — as you’ll want to remember it.

Hi, I'm Kristina — a lifestyle photographer living in Porto.

I capture your family, your love story, and your holiday the way it actually felt: warm and real.

10 years as a photojournalist taught me that the best photos happen between the poses.

That's how I work with every client.

Recent stories

I moved to Porto
with a baby and
a camera.

Three years ago I packed up my life and moved to Porto from scratch — with a husband and our 1yo son, a new country, and a goal to start over.

Before that, I spent a decade as a photojournalist and documentary photographer — learning how to truly see people: the detail that tells their whole story, the expression they didn't know they had, the beauty they never noticed in themselves.

I work both ways. If cameras make you nervous, I'll guide you gently — calm poses, simple actions, kids happily occupied. If you'd rather I just follow along while life unfolds around you, that's equally my kind of session. Both make beautiful photos. I just pay attention to what you need.

I love the mist and the bridge — everything turned out so pretty. I’ll use the photos for our Christmas cards!

Everything you need to know before booking

How far in advance should I book?

2 weeks ahead is ideal, especially in spring and summer (April–September) when Porto is busiest. That said, I do take last-minute bookings when my schedule allows — just ask.

Can we choose our own locations?

Absolutely. I'll always suggest what I think works best — but this is your session. If there's somewhere meaningful to you, let's go there.

What happens if it rains?

Porto can be rainy, especially in autumn and winter — but moody light and wet cobblestones often make for gorgeous photos. I also know a few beautiful covered spots around the city that work wonderfully as backdrops if we need them. And if there's a real downpour, we reschedule at no extra cost.

What if my kids won't cooperate?

Honestly — that's fine. Some of the best family photos happen when kids are running away or ignoring the camera entirely. I work at your family's pace. Just bring along your child’s favorite snacks — or think of any other little “bribe” that might help. We’ve got this.

When and how do I receive my photos?

Your edited gallery arrives in your inbox via a private online link — within 7 days for the Portraits and Photo Walk packages, and within 14 days for the Photo Journey.

How is payment handled?

A small deposit secures your date. The balance is due on the day of the shoot — I accept PayPal, bank transfer, or cash. Full details sent on confirmation.

Common questions

What should we wear?

Wear what you actually feel comfortable in. Earthy tones, creams, and muted colours work beautifully against Porto's tiles and stone. Avoid large logos or very busy patterns. I'm happy to give personalised advice once you book.

Do you do retouching?

I prefer a natural editing style — I don't alter faces or bodies. What I can do is remove small accidental things, like a mosquito bite that showed up on the day. If you have a specific concern, just mention it and we'll figure it out.

Can I get the raw files?

I don't share raw files — for me they're unfinished work, and I only share photos that are ready-to-use. That said, if you'd like all the good duplicates with basic colour correction (not just the final selection), I can prepare those as an add-on for €50, €75, or €100 depending on the package. Just ask when you book.

Let's make your Porto unforgettable.

Tell me a little about your trip and I'll get back to you within 24 hours. No pressure — just a friendly conversation to see if we're a good fit.
